Jelly roll quilts are one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to turn fabric into a beautiful quilt. Because jelly rolls come as pre-cut 2½-inch strips, they make quilting faster, simpler, and easier for both beginners and experienced quilters.

I love your tutorials and am making my first ever quilt following your strip quilt ( the red one) but
I have no idea what batting to use . Please can you tell me what you used on yours. It will be used
as a lap quilt. We call it wadding here in England. I’d rather not spend a fortune as I’m so new to
Quilting and worried I may mess it up. I have put the strips together.
Really grateful for any advice you can give me.
    Many thanks
    Carol

We often use a brand called Warm and Natural. Sometimes we will use bamboo batting or a wool batting. We generally just buy what’s on special. If it’s your first quilt don’t worry too much about it. You won’t mess it up.
