It’s been a little while since we heard from Barbara, so it was really lovely to receive her latest email to let us know how she is doing and what she has been up to.
Despite having had a bout of being unwell, she has been busy making quilts and here are some of her latest creations.
This pretty pink quilt was made using fabric from a fat quarter bundle that she found at her favourite shop in New Mexico. I think the borders really make the centre of the quilt pop. This quilt lends itself to using fabric from your stash.
The mix of teacups, birds and floral arrangements on the backing fabric is just delightful, and it goes so nicely with the front of the quilt. Barbara has a young lady in mind for this quilt, and I have no doubt she is going to love it.
Now this is a quilt panel that I love. The colours are so vibrant. Barbara has used a variety of colourful borders that really make the cat panel stand out.
Photos of Barbara’s quilts are always a pleasure to receive and share with you.
