Note from Alanda Craft: Joe (from Sunny Florida) recently contacted us to thank us for our videos. It was lovely to hear from someone who is new to sewing and quilting.. These drawstring gift bags were his first attempt, and regardless of Joe pointing out his stitching, I think he has done a darned fine job.  It’s a good idea to get some practice in with scrap fabric when you are starting out.  These gift bags are such a good idea for gift giving and you can follow the video below to make your own.

Joe's Says:
Just wanted to say thank you for your videos on YouTube. I’m talking on a new adventure with sewing. I’ve Never stitched a stitch before in my life, ok maybe a button or two….  So here’s to a new adventure!
Thank you again.

Good Morning Wanda, it’s Joe from America’s.  So I have been practicing making the gift bags so that I can make and use them for Christmas.  Here is what I have done.  Don’t mind the fabric, it’s old fabric that was given to me to practice with.  And yes, you may laugh at my stitches too.  Their as about as crooked as a two legged cat (although I’ve never seen a two legged cat, but they way this world is going, nothing would surprise me).

Let me know what you think and thank you again.  Oh, I will also be using your video to help me make a baby blanket so I better get my stitches straight!

Watch the video below to see how to make your own Drawstring Gift Bags.
