Note from Alanda Craft: This is a beautiful butterfly panel.  It’s so colorful and it reminds me of lovely spring days with all the butterflies in the garden. I just love how Barbara has treated the panel and the mauve border followed by the spring flowers on a pale green background just make this panel pop.  But then she hasn’t stopped there, she added more borders, a yellow one and the last one made from another panel that she cut up. I think it looks awesome. And the yellow backing just sets it off.  Another great quilt Barbara.

Barbara Says:
I kept looking at that panel over and over and over and got ready to cut it apart and just couldn’t   So, what I did so far is this:

  • My next plan is to cut the second panel apart and make a final border from the flowers and butterflies.   I’m thinking about a 4 or 5 inch wide one.
  • That still leaves me with one more panel in case I get the nerve to slice it apart.
