how to update the scanncut tutorial
Many ScanNCut owners don’t realize that every now and then their Brother Scan n Cut needs updating. This is because Brother introduces new software with new features or fixes. When this happens, you need to upload the software to your machine.

In this video, we go through the steps on how to do this. It’s pretty simple but you will need a USB stick in order to do it as you cannot directly connect the Brother ScannCut to your computer.

Thank you for your wonderful videos, they are so helpful.
I am in my 70s my daughter in law bought me the Scan N Cut for Mother’s Day last year. It has been sitting there, now with your videos at last I can start doing things.
Do you have a joining club, that you pay by the month, and you give lessons.
There is a lady that does that for the Silhoutte.
Thank you so much, Glad from Down Under.

So happy our videos have been helpful for you Glad. At the moment, we don’t provide online lessons although we may do in the future. I know a lot of people would like this sort of thing so we will definitely have a think about it.

I am surprised since you claim to be experts in Scan n Cut that you do not know that the 650 machines can connect wirelessly.

The date on the post is 2014 which was prior to when the ScanNCut had the ability to update wirelessly.

And we never claimed to be experts. We are still learning like everyone else and find out new things about this machine all the time.

I have had my own embroidery business since 2002 and never have I felt so frustrated as I do with the Scan n Cut. I’ve had this since 2015 and have never been able to get it to collect from the Canvas space to my machine. Customer service has been no help and tutorials don’t help either. A heck of a lot of money spent for not being able to use it. About ready to trade it in for a Cricut. Any suggestions? Wish I had some near by to show me in person how to use this thing!!!

Are you able to let me know the model number of your machine. It will start with ‘CM’. I’m assuming you have a ScanNCut 2 based on the year purchased but just want to confirm as it will help in answering your question.
